The scope of work for this project includes the removal and replacement of the sand bottoms of the Millsboro rapid infiltration basins.  In order to avoid compaction of underlying subgrade, this project required the sand to be pushed upward from the bottom of each basin using low ground pressure equipment, hauling sand to an onsite stockpile area, furnish clean special gradation sand, and replace using low ground pressure equipment.
