Human Resources Generalist

The successful candidate will handle HR functions for several business entities which share common ownership.

Directs, organizes, plans, and develops the implementation and administration of human resources functions and carries out policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activities.

Oversees activities relating to employment rules and regulations, staffing, employee education and training, management development, labor relations, affirmative action, workers compensation administration, benefits administration, and salary administration.

Typical Functions

Approves and directs new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

Keeps records of employee benefits insurance coverage, pension plan, and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Directs and oversees company’s employee performance evaluation process.

Recruits and recommends to Owners candidate employees to fill vacant positions.

May handle or oversee enrolling (changing/terminating) employees from company’s benefit plans.

Employment Regulations

Must be knowledgeable in and able to administer applicable employment regulations.


At least 5 years as an HR Generalist or equivalent experience.
