Salt Pond Plaza consists of the new site for Harris Teeter, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ruddick Corporation, a food market chain that operates in the eight-state area of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland and Delaware.

Project Breakdown

Onsite Project consists of installation of standard construction entrances, standard silt fence, inlet protection, the construction of a bio-retention area, clearing of existing trees, demolition of existing building, existing parking lot, existing concrete walkways, stripping of topsoil, excavation and embankment, importation of fill materials, rough grading, installation of Stormtech SC740 Drainage System with associated storm drainage appurtenances, installation of 6" sanitary sewer system, installation of 4", 6", 8" water system, installation of over 5,000 lineal feet of curb, over 10,000 square feet of sidewalk and curb combination, over 13,000 square yards of stone base and a little over 23,000 square feet of EP Henry Turf Pavers.
Offsite Project consists of clearing of trees with in the State Right-of-Way, over 4,500 lineal feet of saw cutting, removal of existing hot mix, removal of existing curb, excavation for new pavement and sidewalks, installation of 1,000 lineal feet of curb, 5,000 square feet of sidewalk, milling of existing roadways, pavement overlayment as well as full depth pavement.
