Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary is a 501 © (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe and caring environment for homeless, neglected, abused and orphaned cats and dogs in Sussex County, Delaware. The 14-Acre site is located in a natural environment surrounded by wetlands.

Project Breakdown

Installation of all approved Sediment and Erosion Control practices up to and including standard construction entrance, standard and reinforced silt fence, erosion control matting on pond slopes. Clearing and grubbing of roadway and on the main shelter facility site, stripping of topsoil, excavation and embankment, excavation of storm water management pond, and the installation of pre-cast concrete weir wall outfall structure. Roadways included the installation of crusher run base for roadways and parking areas along with complete restoration of project with top soiling, seeding and mulching. The installation of an approved Delaware Department of Transportation Entrance was also installed.
